What the Riders had to Say:
…the ride itself? I would have to say some of the literally most breathtaking views I have seen from the saddle of a bike. That means going up some huge climbs with my lungs and legs begging for mercy, while seeing ocean, beach, shoreline, palms, etc below.... WAY below. Then screaming down the other side of course! Let me tell you, PR is NOT flat.

Luggage

The VUELTA’s luggage trucks will carry one personal luggage item per registered cyclist as we circle the island. Each luggage item must be no larger than “standard airline carry-on” size and must not exceed a weight of 30 lbs. We recommend that bags be wrapped in plastic in the event of precipitation. Cyclists must label their luggage with their name, a contact telephone number, and the name of their hotel in each of the destination cities. Cyclists will drop off their luggage in a designated location at the start of each day in their hotel (see schedule overview for details). Again, luggage will only be collected from hotels that have been pre-selected by the VUELTA. A complete list of participating hotels is available on this website.

Luggage will be delivered to the hotels well before cyclists arrive in the destination city. You will be unable to access luggage while riding, so please plan accordingly. Please be advised: At the conclusion of the VUELTA, all luggage items will be deposited at the arrival location. Cyclists must claim their luggage item before returning to their respective hotels in San Juan.

LUGGAGE WILL NOT BE DELIVERED TO HOTELS ON SUNDAY NIGHT. The VUELTA makes every effort to ensure the security of your personal items.  Please see the Baggage Handling Policy for details.
