We’ll be the first to admit that carrying your bike on the airplane with you is a bit of a hassle. We’ve got you covered. We’ve partnered with a great shipping company called High Country Shipping (HCS) to offer you door-to-door shipping for your bike. Your bike will be picked up from your local bike shop, shipped via FedEx, assembled by one of La Vuelta’s official bike shops and delivered to your hotel. At the finish, simply return your bike to the shop that assembled it and it will be carefully packed and shipped back to you.
High Country Shipping specializes in bikes and supports many other cycling events in the United States. Their goal is to make the shipping process as inexpensive and easy as possible. They send shipping labels in advance and arrange timely pick-ups. They also provide riders with information regarding the cost to assemble and disassemble bikes as agreed upon with local bike stores.
Before bikes begin arriving to the bike shops, HCS will send each shop a manifest of riders who have arranged shipping. The manifest will list the rider’s contact info and local hotel delivery info. Bikes are delivered to local partner hotels listed on La Vuelta Puerto Rico's website.
In the unlikely event bikes are lost or damaged during shipping, HCS becomes that rider’s advocate. They file the claim and track down the lost shipment. For more information, please email HCS at firstname.lastname@example.org.

La Vuelta Puerto Rico does not handle bike deliveries. This is a process that needs to be completed in its entirety by the participating rider through High Country Shipping.
