The climate was unbelievably fantastic, the scenery spectacular, but by far and away the best thing this ride had to offer was the wonderful hospitality and talent of the riders from Puerto Rico.

I had one of my best years of bike racing and I think if was from coming to Puerto Rico and riding fast with the boys.

We’d become part of the landscape and of the place itself … I was proud of what I’d been able to accomplish in Puerto Rico. But that training goal had taken a distant second place to what I had gained … racing around one of the most beautiful places on the planet with a cast of characters that feel like family."

…an event, with the precision and logistics that Olympic hosting nations would be proud of.

... I have raced all over the world (mostly on foot) and have never encountered organization any where near as good as provided by you across the 3 days. Nothing was left to chance & the experience was so much more enjoyable for it.

…meticulously flawless.

…the ride itself? I would have to say some of the literally most breathtaking views I have seen from the saddle of a bike. That means going up some huge climbs with my lungs and legs begging for mercy, while seeing ocean, beach, shoreline, palms, etc below.... WAY below. Then screaming down the other side of course! Let me tell you, PR is NOT flat.

…came away not wanting to leave Puerto Rico. From the police escorts to the food stops to the hospitality and organization, it was a really well done event. I definitely am looking forward to next year and it cannot come soon enough!

Your organization was excellent, I congratulate you for an event thats at a World class level and I have already started my countdown towards 2010.

I have participated in the three editions of the VUELTA and each year you have exceeded the expectations of all by far ... the celebratory shouting of riders reaching the top of Norzagaray Street with one mile to go to finish as a signal of "we did it!!" is ... priceless.

The tour was amazing an incredible experience!!  I have already contacted the WCC (Woodlands Cycle Group – Houston).  So hopefully you will get many others from Texas for next year.

... In Mexico having a margarita in honor of Team Puerto Rico. I miss you guys already.

I had an incredible time over the past five days. I really appreciate the immense effort you, your family and the rest of your cycling community put together to make sure I had a wonderful stay/ride in Puerto Rico. I cannot wait to do it again!

I am not much of a cyclist, typically riding only once or twice a week and rarely more than 40 miles at a time. I was extremely worried that the challenge of the ride would overcome my abilities. But the festive nature of the ride, the incredible beauty and interesting cities of the route and the extremely friendly and helpful mood of the staff and riders brought me great encouragement and an ultimate successful finish.

The organization and logistics were superb, the food was some of the best I’ve seen on a bike tour, but most of all the people of Puerto Rico, from our fellow riders to the people cheering on the streets, were some of the friendliest and welcoming people we’ve ever met.

...its just being out here with people, the camaraderie that you have ... what I want to do is finish it, I don't really care about being the first person in, I would be perfectly happy to be the last person in as long as I can say I rode the whole thing... I just like to do it ... and say I rode around Puerto Rico, in three days.

The feeling of accomplishment at the end is something I will treasure forever. I will always hold this year's Vuelta (2009) as "special" because it was my first. You now have a lifetime participant. See you in February 2010!!

The organization was perfect, the support offered was world class and the route changes were a tremendous improvement and the food was the best of any event I've taken part in.

Thanks so much for a wonderful and unforgettable weekend – it was so well organized and I have truly seen a side of PR I would never have seen otherwise.

This event was one of the best organized, most enjoyable, and most memorable we have EVER attended! Our hats are off to William and the entire LCT Team for their flawless and impressive production of this event. We loved the LCT and we love Puerto Rico. Thank you!!!

Writing my article, it felt like I was reliving the Vuelta once again and made me appreciate even more. We will be back next year.... With a bit more training before in my legs.
