ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

Given the nature of our island, we have limited space to dispose of all the garbage that we generate. Our landfills continue to receive pressure and therefore, we at Vuelta Puerto Rico have decided to be a little more pro-active with the environment. Don't expect to see the following:

♦ Small plastic water bottles (we use 1 and 10 gallon tanks)
♦ Plastic sports drink bottles (we use mix powder)
♦ Drinking cups of any kind during the course of the event (please use your own cycling bottles)
♦ Styrofoam during the course of the event

The Rant...

Expect to hear us discouraging riders from disposing of gel packets and other refuse on our streets as the event passes through our 42 towns.
